states ranked by snowiest area, areas by two-day snowfall

Significant: 12″+ Moderate: 2–<12″ No notable snow: <2″

    How to Read the Outlook

Each area shows its snowiest pair of consecutive days within today and the next six days. Totals use daily forecasts, so today’s amount can include hours already elapsed. Dates are in Mountain time.

A clearing flag follows a significant storm: the next day has cloud cover at or below 25%, wind at or below 15 mph, precipitation probability at or below 20%, and no forecast rain or snow.

Forecast snowfall uses OpenWeather’s daily snow in millimeters, divided by 25.4 for inches. Each point represents a broader mountain area; actual snowfall varies with elevation and terrain.

Conditions Set identifies weather opportunities, not skiing safety or terrain suitability. It does not assess avalanche conditions, snowpack stability, resort operations, or access.
